Monday saw us venturing into the wilds of the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra.
Along with the fun of patting an american alligator, feeding an emu and seeing numerous different animals, furred and scaled, we learned all about endangered species.
Did you know that the Sumatran Tiger could be extinct in as little as one year due to destruction of its habitat and poaching?
Did you know that Sun Bears are endangered because they are hunted for the pet trade and for unfounded medicinal purposes?
Our students came away from our Zoo adventure brimming over with enormous amounts of interesting information about the animals of the Zoo.
